Meta Back End Developer:

Ready to gain new skills and the tools developers use to create websites and web applications? This certificate, designed by the software engineering experts at  Meta—the creators of Facebook and Instagram, will prepare you for an entry-level career as a back-end developer.

In this program, you’ll learn:

Applied Learning Project

Throughout the program, you’ll engage in applied learning through hands-on activities to help level up your knowledge. At the end of each course, you’ll complete 10 micro-projects that will help prepare you for the next steps in your engineer career journey. 

In these projects, you’ll use a lab environment or a web application to perform tasks such as:   

  • Solve problems using Python code. 

  • Manage a project in GitHub using version control in Git, Git repositories and the Linux Terminal. 

  • Design and build a simple Django app. 

At the end of the program, there will be a Capstone project where you will bring all of your knowledge together to create a Django web app.

Google Cybersecurity Professional:

Prepare for a new career in the high-growth field of cybersecurity, no degree or experience required. Get professional training designed and delivered by subject matter experts at Google and have the opportunity to connect with top employers.

Organizations must continuously protect themselves and the people they serve from cyber-related threats, like fraud and phishing. They rely on cybersecurity to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of their internal systems and information. Cybersecurity analysts use a collection of methods and technologies to safeguard against threats and unauthorized access — and to create and implement solutions should a threat get through.

During the 8 courses in this certificate program, you’ll learn from cybersecurity experts at Google and gain in-demand skills that prepare you for entry-level roles like cybersecurity analyst, security operations center (SOC) analyst, and more. At under 10 hours per week, you can complete the certificate in less than 6 months. 

Upon completion of the certificate, you can directly apply for jobs with Google and over 150 U.S. employers, including American Express, Deloitte, Colgate-Palmolive, Mandiant (now part of Google Cloud), T-Mobile, and Walmart.

The Google Cybersecurity Certificate helps prepare you for the CompTIA Security+ exam, the industry leading certification for cybersecurity roles. You’ll earn a dual credential when you complete both.

Applied Learning Project

This program includes 170 hours of instruction and hundreds of practice-based assessments and activities that simulate real-world cybersecurity scenarios that are critical for success in the workplace. Through a mix of videos, assessments, and hands-on labs, you’ll become familiar with the cybersecurity tools, platforms, and skills required for an entry-level job.

Skills you’ll gain will include: Python, Linux, SQL, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), communication, collaboration, analysis, problem solving and more!

AWS Cloud Solutions Architect Proffesional

This professional certificate provides the knowledge and skills you need to start building your career in cloud architecture and helps you prepare for the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate exam. You will start by learning key AWS Services for compute, storage, database, networking, monitoring, and security, then dive into how to design architectural solutions, how to create and operate a data lake, and how to prepare for the certification exam.

The AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification showcases knowledge and skills in AWS technology across a wide range of AWS services. The certification focuses on the design of cost and performance optimized solutions and demonstrating a strong understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework. This AWS Certification is one of the top-paying IT certifications, per the  SkillSoft IT Skills and Salary report. Per Enterprise Strategy Group, surveyed AWS Certification holders credited their certification for their higher earnings (74%), increased confidence (87%), and increased influence among coworkers (79%).

To prepare for your AWS Certification exam, we recommend that — in addition to attaining this professional certificate — candidates review the free exam guide, sample questions, and AWS technical documentation (e.g. white papers and product FAQs) on the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate exam page to understand what content and services are covered by the exam.

Applied Learning Project

Through 15 hands-on labs, you’ll use the AWS Management Console to apply skills learned in the videos.

For example: 

  • In Architecting Solutions on AWS, you’ll use Amazon API Gateway, AWS Lambda, Amazon SQS, Amazon DynamoDB, and Amazon SNS to build a serverless web backend.

  • In Introduction to Designing Data Lakes, you’ll use Amazon S3, Amazon OpenSearch Service, AWS Lambda and Amazon API Gateway to create an Amazon OpenSearch Service Cluster. You’ll also use Amazon S3, Amazon EC2, Amazon Kinesis Data Firehose, Amazon Kinesis Data Analytics, Amazon Elasticsearch Service to create a data ingestion pipeline with the use of high-scale AWS Managed services. 

  • In Cloud Technical Essentials, you’ll design a 3-tier architecture using services like Amazon VPC, Amazon EC2, Amazon RDS with high availability and Elastic Load Balancing following AWS best practices. You’ll upload an architecture diagram laying out your design including the networking layer.

DeepLearning.AI Tensorflow Developer Professional

TensorFlow is one of the most in-demand and popular open-source deep learning frameworks available today. The DeepLearning.AI TensorFlow Developer Professional Certificate program teaches you applied machine learning skills with TensorFlow so you can build and train powerful models.

IBM Mainframe Developer

Gain the job-ready skills for an entry-level mainframe programming role. Mainframe computers continue to power many mission-critical, financial, banking, and government agency systems. There are 220 billion lines of COBOL in use today. 43% of banking systems are built on COBOL, and 95% percent of ATM swipes rely on COBOL code.

COBOL is scalable, mature, and self-documenting. You'll learn about COBOL from its birth and through its evolution. You'll learn new features and aspects of the language, while also getting hands-on experience to increase your knowledge and abilities with COBOL as a whole. You’ll work with a variety of IBM, COBOL, and mainframe assets, project scenarios, including COBOL programming basics, TSO, ISPF, gaining practical experience with mainframe data management and software development techniques.

This Professional Certificate does not require any prior programming skills and is suitable for learners without college degrees. 

Upon successful completion of this program, you’ll have analyzed the real-world mainframe environment, reviewed mainframe assets and data, and presented and created a software development plan, giving you the confidence and the portfolio to begin a career as a mainframe programmer.

Applied Learning Project

Power your programming career by learning the core principles of mainframe programming and software development through hands-on skills practice. Learners will build and complete COBOL code and projects utilizing an IBM z/OS mainframe lab environment, with instructions and videos to help guide them. Upon completion, learners will have accessed, reviewed, and interacted with an actual IBM mainframe computer, created sample data sets and lines of COBOL code. Learners will create a detailed software development plan and supporting systems analysis documentation.
